I Have an old cast Iron tub that I took out to repair some other plumbing?

When I put it back I found out the tub drain pipe is 1 off….It Is Not moveable cuz it hit’s the walls…I cannot figure it out…The drain in the tub is aprox. 3 in to the pipe….So I mean there is a 3 in clearance from top to bottom….A friend said to get a tub kit..That would work or do I have to make a custom pipe for the water to drain PUZZELED

Go to Home Depot and get the kit like your friend said. Never try to make old plumbing work when you need to make modifications. It will more than likely leek and cause problems in the future.

the problem you will have is that you only have 3 to work with. I would say to use two elbows but you will probably not have room. You can try getting someone that bends pipe to fabricate a section for you. The easiest way will be to use a flex hose. Trust me. It will be easy if you use the flex hose.

I would replace the parts. It will most likly leak in the near future. Pipes do not like to be taken apart and put back together.

You may have pushed the pipe in the floor or wall into its mate. If you pull on it, it may extend to reach where you want it.
