Those usually work on food and grease , etc.. If you have the tools, and the blockage is in the elbow under the sink, you can simply take it off and clear it out. Be sure to put a pan or bucket there to catch the muck. If it is lower, you might borrow a snake. Try taking a plain old wire coat hanger, straightening it out, and running it down the drain and seeing if this will pull the lint wad apart. I am not so sure Draino or another drain unstopper like that is going to work. Those usually work on food

This is called the pea trap and is where most things get caught. Take it apart, make sure you have a big pan under it to catch the water and have a few towels available. You will need some channel lock pliers. See if you can clean it out from there and make sure you wear some rubber gloves. If that doesn't work then get the snake from the hardware store. Leave the pea trap off and use the snake at that point so it will be closer to the clog. You will be able to look down the drain to see if there is light if not then put the snake down from the top of the sink. If that doesn't work then you will need to call a plumber and pay to have them unclog your lines. This can cost a couple of hundred dollars. The problem isn't the lint as much as it is the soap build up. You'll need to use a snake in the drain to unclog it. It's like a coil that you can unleash in your pipes it jogs everything loose. Then just rewind it. They're not bulky like the commercial ones - you can easily store it in a utility cabinet.
